In the original icon of the Mother of God Korsunskaya, bears an inscription "Glorious reminder of the millennium of the existence of Russia". The Mother of God is pictured embracing the divine Child. Many copies of this icon exist, according to tradition, the icon came from Transylvania to the Korsun area by a Serbian in the 16th century. In February 1840, it miraculously renewed itself becoming suddenly bright while in front of it prayed Kasperovaja, owner of the village Novo Ivanovki. In memory it was decided to honor her solemnly on the Marian feast of October 1st and June 29th.
