Tenth Station Way of the Cross pendant in silver alloy 2.2X2 cm with cord for wearing.
This religious pendant features the 10th Station of the Way of the Cross. The Via Crucis is the road that Jesus took after being sentenced to death by the choice of the people. People could choose between Christ and Barabbas, but they decided to let the latter live and to have the Savior die crucified. He had to take this uphill road, about a kilometer long, carrying the cross and when he arrived they hammered nails into his body and crucified him. This event is remembered as a symbol of mercy and forgiveness because Christ chose to sacrifice himself for the souls of all, both those who loved him and those who hated and despised him. In the tenth station we see Jesus being stripped in front of everyone. The soldiers, after stripping Christ, decided who to give the clothes to while he remained naked. Being stripped in front of everyone also meant losing one's social position and even one's identity. The Italian workshop that produced this pendant is famous for making the original stations along the Via Crucis in Jerusalem and for working for the Vatican.Part of the proceeds will be donated to safeguarding the artistic heritage of Jerusalem. This product is made in Italy.
