Hangable with hook. This copper religious picture measures 42x72 cm and was made by Pietro Vittorio Milani, known as ''Victor'', a Piedmontese artist. The artist was born in Verbania, Italy in April 1950. After living for twenty years in the Veneto region, he moved to Lombardy, in Abbiategrasso. Here he began to cultivate his passion for painting on canvas, with oil colors and watercolors. A self-taught impressionist, he will later discover his predilection for embossed copper, the material that is most congenial to him. An innate passion for the medieval era will lead him to reproduce battles, jousting, seals, heraldic shields, scenes and objects inspired by books, frescoes and historical magazines and to participate in fairs, re-enactments and exhibitions throughout Italy. A multifaceted artist, in addition to depictions of historical periods, his works also portray various examples of contemporaneity. Through very different themes and subjects, in copper and plaster, the transition from a two-dimensionality of serigraphs, paintings and frescoes to a lively and pulsating three-dimensionality is highlighted. In 2018, thanks to an encounter with a restorer, master of electroplating, gold and silver, he approaches religious art. He creates works depicting various religious subjects, on crosses, reliquaries, tabernacles and portraits. One of the most valuable creations, “The baptismal font in Byzantine style”, a very demanding, unique and unrepeatable work. Some of the works are located in various sacred places, including: the Basilica Sanctuary of the Madonna della Guardia in Tortona, the Church of Don Orione in Sanremo, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Chioggia.
