Statue representing Our Lady of Medjugorje, 81.5x30 cm.The Lady of Medjugorje is depicted with one arm outstretched, wearing a white veil adorned with gold, which falls on a blue robe with gold trim.In the base there are three engravings.The first incision shows the name of Kraljica Mira, or Queen of Peace.The Virgin is also called Queen of Peace because the message she entrusts to the visionaries is a message of Peace, a Peace that can be reached through a path consisting of five steps, also called the five stones, humble prayer, fasting in the days of Wednesday and Friday, the daily reading of the Bible, Confession once a month, the Eucharist every day.The last two engravings indicate the name Medjugorje and the date of the first apparition of Our Lady, on 24 June 1981 one of the first miraculous apparitions of the Virgin took place on the hills of Podbrdo in the city of Medjugorje.The statue being empty inside, is light and easily carried.This Virgin of Medjugorje is carefully made and detailed. Produced in local marble powder and painted entirely by hand in Medjugorje by a Bosnian company.The statue is treated with a special protective lacquer that makes it suitable also for outdoor environments.
