Our Lady is depicted on a white cloud to symbolize one of her first miraculous apparitions in the village of Medjugorje, which took place on June 24, 1981.The arrangement of the hands is studied in every detail, the right touches her chest, while the left is stretched forward with the palm facing upwards, as a sign of welcome.She wears a white veil with gold edges and a blue robe finished in gold.At the foot of Virgin Mary, there is a church, the church of St James, a meeting place for the faithful and pilgrims who try to have contact with the Madonna.In addition to being the protector of pilgrims, St. James is also the patron saint of Medjugorje.Statue made of a mixture of local marble dust.
