Virgin Mary statue with baby and sceptre in Valgardena wood 25cm, gothic style, natural wax finish.
The original of this statue is kept in the Cologne Cathedral (Rhineland) and it dates back to 1310, sculpted by an anonymous artist.
Natural wax finish of the statue: the finished sculpture is coated with a layer of transparent wax.
This statue in maple wood is hand made by the Valgardena artisans, following the local artistic tradition.
