This is a Tyrolese sculpture dating back to the 1380. In figurative arts, the pietà depicts Mary with the body of Christ.
Patinated finish of the statue: the finished sculpture is coated with a walnut colour patina.
This statue in maple wood is hand made by the Valgardena artisans, following the local artistic tradition.

Piękna i wzruszająca Pieta. Bardzo szczegółowo i starannie wykonana. Na niewielkim skrawku drewna zaskakuje dokładność odtworzonych detali, ale nie tylko jest to po prostu bardzo delikatne i zaskakujące pięknem dzieło.
