Sculpture of considerable workmanship realized by an Italian company estimated in the bronze working and operating in the cemetery items sector.Funeral statue made through the lost wax casting. This technique of working with bronze known since ancient times consists in creating a model of terracotta on which to spread a thickness of wax that recreates the dimensions and final features of the work. The model, afterwards, is covered with refractory earth and placed in an oven, to melt the wax that will come out of the drains and vents. In the cavity left by the melted wax, the molten bronze is poured with a crucible, which is allowed to cool and then proceed with the chisels to dismantle the refractory earth. The final phase of finishing is to eliminate metal smears, smooth the surface and engrave details.With this procedure, only unique statues are produced, since the loss of the wax model and the clay coating is inevitable.The statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The bronze statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist being outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze, which with the advancement of time gives this product a special look.
