Funerary sculpture of excellent workmanship realized by an Italian company appreciated in the working of bronze and operating in the cemetery items sector.Funeral statue made with the technique of lost wax casting. Classical melting technique practiced since ancient times which consists in making a prototype prepared in wax on a clay core. The form is covered by a further layer of refractory earth and has channels for the outflow of the wax. When it is cooked in the oven, the heat consolidates the shape and melts the wax that comes out of the grooves leaving the space free for the casting in bronze. The casting is carried out by means of crucibles, in this way the bronze fills the gap left by the wax reproducing the model to perfection. After cooling, the mold is broken freeing the metal statue on which a final finishing work is done, elimination of metal smears, smoothing and sanding.With this procedure, only unique statues are obtained, given the inexorable loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The woman praying statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze.
