Mary praying bronze statue 65 cm for OUTDOOR.Work of remarkable workmanship created by an Italian art foundry specialized in bronze casting and in the production of funerary items.Virgin Mary bronze statue made through the lost wax casting technique creating a wax model, with a terracotta core, and covering it with a layer of clay and refractory earth. The cavity left by the wax after the shape is fired in the oven is filled with the molten bronze casting. Once the bronze has solidified and the outer layer of clay has been broken, the sculpture is extracted and subjected to finishing processes, elimination of metal burrs, smoothing and sanding.With this procedure only unique specimens are obtained, given the inevitable loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The Virgin Mary statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outdoors. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed outdoors) tends to darken: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze, which with the progress of time gives this product precious and unique connotations.
