Excellent sculpture workmanship made by an Italian foundry specialized in the casting of bronze and in the creation of funerary items.Statue of St, Francis of Paola produced with the technique of lost wax casting. The bronze statue is created by modeling the sculpture with wax, on an earthenware core, and then covering it with a layer of foundry clay. After baking the form in the oven, the wax melts and comes out through holes in the clay. The cast bronze is cast in the interspaces left empty by wax. After the bronze has cooled and solidified, the outer layer of clay is broken and the sculpture appears undergoing finishing procedures, elimination of metal smears, smoothing and polishing.With this procedure, only unique statues are obtained, given the loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The religious statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze, which with the advancement of time gives this product connotations precious and unique.
