Bronze statue of Saint Francis of Assisi 110 cm for OUTDOORS.Work of exquisite workmanship created by an Italian foundry expert in a bronze casting and in the creation of funerary articles.Statue of Saint Francis of Assisi molded with the technique of lost wax casting that consists of molding the sculpture in wax and covering it with a thin layer of clay and refractory earth. Once cooked in the oven, the wax melts and comes out from small pre-arranged holes. In the empty space left by the wax, molten bronze is poured, which fills it completely, taking its shape. After the bronze is cooled, the outer layer of clay is broken and the sculpture appears, which is subjected to finishing processes, elimination of metal smears and sanding.With this procedure only unique statues are obtained, considering that wax model and clay coating are lost.The bronze saint statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze and gives it its unique look.
