Particular statue of Piet in bronze 180 cm for OUTDOORS.Elegant Pieta statue made by an Italian art foundry specialized in bronze casting and in the production of funerary items.Statue of Pieta created with a lost wax casting technique which consists in creating a wax model, with a terracotta core, and using it to make a clay mould. When this shape is placed in the baking oven, the wax melts and comes out of holes for this purpose. Molten bronze is poured into the empty space left by the wax, thus creating a model identical to that of wax. Once the bronze has solidified, the outer layer of clay breaks and the sculpture appears, which is subjected to finishing, smoothing and polishing procedures.With this procedure only unique specimens are created, as the wax model and the clay coating are lost.The Pieta statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outdoors. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed outdoors) tends to darken: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze, which with the progress of time gives this product precious and unique connotations.
