Bronze Statue of Mary and Child 65 cm for OUTDOORS.Sculpture of fine manufacture made by an Italian company established in the working of bronze and active in the field of funeral items.The technique used for this statue of the Madonna and Child is lost wax casting. The process consists in creating a well-defined wax model, with a terracotta core, which will be placed in a mold containing ceramic and refractory clay. Everything is then cooked at high temperatures, in order to make the wax melt and let it out of shape. Subsequently we proceed to the casting in the empty gap left by the wax, and once solidified, to the extraction of the piece that will be polished and finished in the last phase.With this procedure, only unique statues are obtained, given the inexorable loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The Mary and Child bronze statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside elements) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze.
