Precious quality sculpture made by an Italian company specialized in bronze working and active in the funeral articles sector.Immaculate Virgin statue forged with the technique of lost wax casting that consists in modeling, on a clay core, the sculpture with wax and then covering it with a layer of refractory sand and brick. The model is placed in an oven, at a temperature between 400 ° and 500 ° C, to melt the wax that will come out of the drains and vents and to consolidate the mold. The molten bronze is poured into the empty interspace left by the wax, which fills it completely, taking its shape. After the bronze has solidified, the outer layer of clay is broken and the sculpture appears that is subjected to a final finishing work, elimination of metal smears, smoothing and sanding.With this procedure, only unique statues are obtained, considering the loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The Immaculate bronze statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The Mary statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist even outside.
