Known since ancient times, it consists in shaping the sculpture with wax in detail, on a clay core, and covering it with a layer of clay and a refractory earth. It is put in the baking oven, the wax melts and comes out of the prepared openings, leaving an empty space where the molten bronze is subsequently poured. After the bronze has cooled and solidified, the outer layer of clay is broken and the sculpture is extracted and subjected to a final finishing work, elimination of metal smears, smoothing and sanding.With this procedure, only unique statues are produced, given the loss of the wax model and the clay coating.The bronze angel statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors.
