Detailed Pieta Sculpture in Bronze 85 cm for OUTDOORS. A beutiful detailed outdoor bronze statue of excellent workmanship made by an Italian company specialized in bronze funerary works. The casting technique used for the representation of this Pietà is that of lost wax. This process is known since before the birth of Christ, which requires great experience and mastery. It consists of various phases and is characterized by the preparation of a wax model, with a terracotta core, which is covered by a ceramic wrap and then baked inside an oven. The dissolved wax generates a cavity which will then be filled with molten metal.
The statue can be exhibited both indoors and outdoors. The statue is colored with paints that allow it to resist being outside. Bronze, being a living material, over the years (if exposed to the outside) tends to become dark: this characteristic represents the beauty of bronze, giving it a special look as time passes.
