This Russian style icon is made by Polish artisans, hand painted on wood, and covered with a hand-beaten silver and copper alloy, called riza which allows the item not to blacken over time. According to chronicles, the Icon of Our Lady of Vladimir was brought to the cathedral dedicated to the Assumption in the city of Vladimir in 1155. The Vladimir icon may differ slightly due to the high craftsmanship. It includes a certificate of guarantee and its history.

Sandra G.6/7/2021Vergine della tenerezza di Vladimir: il bambino, portatore di gioia per la madre, è affettuosamente stretto a lei. Lo sguardo della madre è tenero, ma triste, forse in previsione del tragico destino del figlio. Icona con una grande tradizione ed un importante significato storico, bellissima per l'esecuzione pregiata e perfetta degli artigiani polacchi.
