Russian painted egg Madonna Vladimirskaya 30 cm. This Russian orthodox egg was hand painted by expert Russian painters who specialize in the freehand painting of the miniature school. The main alcove is inlaid and hand painted. In the upper part the face of Jesus is painted while on the sides there are two angels, on the sides of the egg the entrance doors of an Orthodox church and a small wooden cross placed in the center have been painted.The egg contained inside the alcove depicts the Madonna of Vladmirskaya holding the Baby Jesus in her arms, their embrace transmits the love they have for each other. On the sides of the main figures there are two saints who bow and hold out their hands towards them. All hand painted using the gold leaf technique which highlights the decorations around the egg and the halos. The measurements of the alcove are 28X10.7 cm while the egg with the figure of the Madonna of Vladimirskaya is 20X13 cm.Made in Russia and hand painted.
