Russian lacquer box Igorevskaya, 14x10 cm.Lacquered paper-mache box handmade in Russia with application of a worked image and with a mixed technique of painting and decoupage. Stylized reproduction of the Virgin of Tenderness, the name of Igorevskaya derives from the Holy Prince Igor Olegovich of Kiev, who once captured during a battle and locked up, before dying was discovered praying right in front of this figure.
