Trinity Old Testament painted Russian icon 21x17 cm. Fine Russian icon hand-painted by expert iconographers, characterized by a fine brush and the atmosphere of the scene. This icon is based on the original painted by Rublev, representing an episode from the Old Testament. The scene tells of the visit of three angels to Abraham and Sarah. These angels, although similar to each other at first glance, are delicately distinguished into Father, on the left, Son, in the center, and Holy Spirit, on the right. The three seated figures form, together with the scene behind them, an octagonal construction full of meaning, and behind them stands an oak tree, symbol of eternal life. The rock that encloses the scene alludes to the beginning of the universe. The figures stand out against a precious antique gold leaf background both in color and through the use of the craquelure technique. The icon measures 21x17 cm. It is accompanied by a brief history of the icon and a certificate of originality with stamp.
