Russian painted icon Dormition of the Most Holy Mary 14x10cm. At the center of the orthodox icon is the body of the Mother of God on the deathbed, wrapped in a long shroud. Next to it is Jesus Christ holding the soul of Mary. The Apostles are depicted next to Jesus bidding farewell to Mary's body. This modern icon is a handmade copy following the principles of the Byzantine-Russian school. It is made of solid linden wood and covered with gold leaves. The Dormition of Mary icon is delivered in a secure and elegant wooden box.
