It is also antiqued with the use of Russian painting techniques. The table measures 36x30 cm.This icon comes from the early period of the Byzantine Empire. Since then, three images of Christ Pantocrator were known: half-length, on the throne and in his full figure. Christ is always depicted frontally, blessing with the three fingers of his right hand and with the Gospel in his left hand. Furthermore, the open book should feature the quote from the Gospel of St. John: ''I am the light of the world''.
