Our Lady of Kardiotissa Russian icon hand painted 14x10 cm. This orthodox icon represents the Madonna of Kardiotissa, a variant of the Madonna of Tenderness, influenced by Western art. The icon, measuring 14x10 cm, is hand painted on lime wood boards, with gold leaf applications, following the traditional techniques of the Byzantine-Russian school. The Virgin Mary icon is accompanied by a wooden case, which facilitates its conservation. It is interesting to note that the craquelé technique was used, which gives the image an antique tone.
