This icon miraculously changed in 1840, during a prayer by Kasperovaya in the village of New Ivanovki. Suddenly it shone and looked as good as new, from the darkened one it was. The icon protected the city of Odessa, Crimea, during an enemy siege. It is celebrated on October 1st and June 29th. The orthodox icon is delivered with a pamphlet containing the history of the icon, certificate of authenticity and hook for hanging.
