Ancient Russian quadripartite Marian icon 800 restored 21st century 43x35 cm. Ancient Russian quadripartite icon with images of Mary, hand painted in the 19th century on wooden panel and levkas using the egg tempera technique, restored in the 21st century. At the top left is the image of the softening of evil hearts, with Baby Jesus blessing. At the top right the icon shows the Madonna taking on the suffering of humanity, called '"Console my sorrows'', recognizable by the gesture of bringing her right hand to her temple and the sad and thoughtful expression of her face. Below is depicted with two different images Mary ''hope of sinners'', whose original icon is venerated as an ancient miraculous relic.The most relevant particularities of this image are: the half-length figure of the Mother of God, the cheek of the Child touching that of Mary and the arms of the Madonna making a circle around the figure of the Child. The orthodox icon comes with a certificate of guarantee and originality, with an appraisal drawn up by a certified expert. It is delivered in an elegant blue box with satin interior.
