Religious icon with glossy silkscreen printing Madonna Hodegetria 25X19 cm. This orthodox icon was made in Greece in an old traditional Byzantine style. Made on special canvas, the colors are made with new and real gold. The Madonna Hodegetria is a type of Christian iconography widespread particularly in Byzantine and Russian art of the medieval period. The iconography consists of the Madonna with the Baby Jesus in her arms, sitting in a blessing gesture, holding a rolled parchment in his hand. The colors of the Madonna's dress are traditional, that is, the dark green dress and the red cloak where it is possible to notice stars placed on the head and on the right shoulder. Baby Jesus is dressed in a white robe with red decorations and a red cloak.
