The details are highlighted with silver and gold colors. This icon is also known as the Mother of God of Tenderness, it is one of the most venerated and famous Orthodox icons in the world and is a typical example of Byzantine iconography of the Eleusian typology, that is, one who shows tenderness or who shows mercy.The depiction of this icon immediately became an object of devotion for the Russian faithful. According to one tradition, the image was painted by the evangelist Luke. Icon made according to the old traditional Byzantine style on canvas and old wood. Baby Jesus' left hand tightens his mother's neck to bring his face closer to Mary's. On the back, there is a certificate of Byzantine icon, made in Greece.
