Hand painted icon 30x22 cm, 24k gold leaf following traditional techniques, depicting the Clemente Umilenie (Tenderness) Madonna. On the religious icon, we see Jesus gently placing his hand on his mother's face as he looks at her with a sweet gaze, while the Madonna looks forward. The mother's face gently touches that of her son, as if through this contact she wanted to express the love she feels for her son and vice versa. The image is placed on a decorated 24k pure gold background, worked with a chisel, which gives brightness to the entire icon. On the back, there is a certificate which guarantees that this icon has been worked with care following the traditional techniques and style in line with that of the Macedonian School of Agion Oros. The Tenderness icon is a sign of God's presence and is the simplest and most immediate form of self-awareness that the Byzantine and Slavic peoples possess.
