Greek silk-screened icon Madonna Hodegetria with Child 26X20 cm.This orthodox icon was made in Greece in an old traditional Byzantine style. Made on special canvas, the colors are made with new and real gold. The Madonna Hodegetria is a type of Christian iconography widespread particularly in Byzantine and Russian art of the medieval period. The iconography consists of the Madonna with the Child Jesus in her arms, sitting in a blessing gesture, holding a rolled parchment in her hand and which the Virgin indicates with her right hand.
