Byzantine screen-printed Greek icon Trinity by Rublev 22x16 cm. The religious icon was made on a special canvas. The colors are new and real gold, made according to the old traditional Byzantine style. The orthodox icon depicts the scene of the appearance of the Trinity to Abraham to announce to him and his wife Sarah the arrival of descendants. The subject depicted on the left is God the Father, in the center is Jesus, while on the right is the Holy Spirit. At the center of the painting, there is a chalice, symbol of Christ's Eucharistic sacrifice. The three figures are surrounded by a halo, an attribute that traditional sacred art reserves for saints, angels and the souls of the deceased saved in Heaven. These three characters have been identified with three angels, including the three Holy Archangels of the Catholic and Orthodox Church, or with the three persons of the Trinity, as suggested by the type of the work. The colors have a notable symbolic importance in iconographic art, gold is a symbol of royalty and God is clothed in this material. Jesus' stole is also made of gold, symbolizing his royal priesthood. The red symbol of sacrifice, Jesus is dressed in this color in deference to his sacrifice. Green is the symbol of life, the color of which the tunic of the Holy Spirit takes on. Blue is the symbol of eternal life. This color is used by each figure in the painting. This icon is made in Greece according to the old traditional Byzantine style.
