This orthodox saint icon depicts the martyr Saint George on horseback fighting against the dragon, becoming a symbol of the fight of good against evil. The legend of the dragon-winning soldier contributed to the spread of his cult, which became very popular in the West and throughout the Byzantine East.The image was applied on a shiny gold background, carefully painted in an old traditional Byzantine style on canvas and old wood. Made on special canvas, the colors are made with new and real gold. On the back of the icon, there is a certificate and wax stamp which mark the authenticity of the product.
