All these are signs taken from the book of Revelation "a woman clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet''.The Joy of All Who Sorrow was written in the Preobragenskaya church in 1685, but the fate of the icon is unclear: according to one of the versions, the image was brought to St. Petersburg in 1711, and only a copy remained in Moscow, quite different from the point of iconographic view with respect to the icon of Saint Petersburg.It presents the people invoking the Virgin, sometimes divided into six groups, all comforted by the angels.
