The Virgin ordered him to swallow a scroll and immediately afterwards the deacon obtained the gift of singing and the genius of composition, which he used throughout his life to sing the praises of the Virgin.Following typical iconographic elaborations of the 17th-18th centuries, the heads and figures of the faithful represented below and of the saints and angels depicted above multiplied.This Protection icon dates back to the 19th century and is entirely hand painted on a wooden board treated with levkas. Real size 37x29.5 cm. On the back, there is a hook to be able to hang it and it is accompanied by expertise drawn up by a specialist registered in Russia.
