The latter is always at the center of the representation, often placed on the moon, and holds the crowned child in her left hand.The image, surrounded by light, was glorified in 1688 after the intercession and miraculous healing of the sister of the patriarch Ioachim and was then transferred in 1711 to St. Petersburg. It also sometimes presents the people invoking the Mother of God in six groups, all of whom are consoled by the angels sent by the Virgin.This orthodox icon was made in Russia on wood with egg tempera and specifically measures 35.5x31cm.This Joy of All Sorrow icon is delivered in an elegant blue velvet box and accompanied by a certificate of guarantee.
