The latter has helmeted hair that falls on the nape, a spacious forehead, large eyes, a rather elongated nose, narrow lips and small ears, which emphasize the listening attitude.Jesus is depicted in a blessing position with a full frontal figure and an extremely expressive face. With his left hand, he holds the open Gospel facing the faithful, while with his right he blesses, according to the Orthodox / Byzantine rite, keeping the palm of the hand open and the thumb and ring finger joined.On the pages of the Gospel, appears the written evangelical rituals that vary according to the image. Also in the halo appear the typical Greek letters indicating ''He who is''.
