In iconography he is represented standing with armour and sword, on horseback with spear, trumpet and thurible, leading the celestial army and defeating Satan.
Between his hands we can see the rainbow of alliance. ON the top left corner is depicted Christ, in the act of blessing. In front of him are the Word and the Cross: they are the two instruments of the Judgement.
