The icon gave its invisible protection to the city and Moscow and a procession was carried out around the walls.During the Second World War, a procession with the icon was made around the walls of Leningrad, besieged by the Nazis. Iconographically, the icon of the Kazan Mother of God is a variant of the ''Hodighitria'' typology, the peculiarity of this type is the figure of the Child in an upright position. This Our Lady of KAZAN icon was made with the bronze casting technique, then it was enameled and then it was gilded. It comes from Moscow and dates back to the 20th century. Measures 26.1x22.5 cm. The icon is sent in a box together with a report from an expert.
