The archangel appears in a hilly landscape with a sword in his hand. The prince of the celestial militia presents himself as the protagonist of the angelic representations. With the affirmation of Christianity, the cult spread widely in the East. Saint Michael is credited with fighting and stripping Satan of his robe of light. The figure of Lucifer was born from a very proud angel who aspired to become like God.
