The 14 stations of the Via Dolorosa are 14 episodes of the journey that carried Christ, loaded with the cross, to the place where he was crucified. This road, still present in Jerusalem, led outside the walls, where they could condemn criminals to death. The people could choose between the savior and Barabbas, but they chose to condemn Christ to death.
