The Via Dolorosa is a street located in Jerusalem. According to tradition, Jesus carried the cross along this road to the place of his crucifixion. This route starts from the Church of the Flagellation and follows an uphill path of about one kilometer, until it reaches where today we find the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. Today this road is within the walls of Jerusalem, but in the time of Christ this road ended outside the city.

Jesus being nailed to The Cross is such a profound moment of His Sorrowful Passion. i have this metal fastened along with a the Station of The Cross where Mary meets Jesus to my burse. i like to reflect on both stations specifically and discuss them with anyone who may ask me about my burse when delivering The Eucharist.
