Bronze crucifix cross, 54 cm high and 36 cm wide made by a famous Italian company known for its skills and for high quality religious items.
The studio that produced this cross did work for the Vatican and has forged the stations in the Holy Land made of bronze. When walking along the Via Crucis in Jerusalem you can admire all the stations of the Via Dolorosa made by this atelier which has carried out this magnificent work with great honor and gratitude. Christ, after being sentenced to death by crucifixion, was handed over to the soldiers to be scourged. He was later given the cross and had to carry his punishment, the object of his death, for about a kilometer along this uphill road. When he arrived on the spot, nails were hammered into his hands and feet, and the cross was placed vertically with him attached. After hours in the scorching sun and with his wounds bleeding he took his last breath. All around it became dark and the earth began to tremble as if the forces of nature were also in mourning for the death of the Son of God. He faced death and defeated it, and thus saved the souls of all humanity. The crucifix became the symbol, a tool to remember, and a prayer to the one who gave his life to save everyone's. It became the greatest gesture of goodness and mercy. The road is called Via Crucis, or Via Dolorosa, and starts from the Church of the Flagellation, located where Christ was judged and scourged, and reaches the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. By purchasing this bronze crucifix cross you will contribute to the preservation of Jerusalem's heritage. The stations are made in Italy by experienced artists.
