St Michael the Archangel Guido Reni 12x16 cm Bottega Tifernate retouch. Measuring 17 cm in height and 12 cm in width, it is perfect as an exclusive gift or high-end ceremony favor. Each piece is unique, worked and finished by hand by expert painters with academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created through the patented technique of pictography, created by artist, Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:The subject of the painting is inspired by the apocalyptic vision of St. John the Evangelist, in which an angel descends from heaven with a large chain in his hand, to chain the ancient serpent, symbol of the devil. The painter, through a creative and original baroque compositional cut, captures the impetuosity of the apparition. The angel's wings, cut on the edge of the painting, together with his diagonal posture give a vigorous and victorious movement, while the raised sword threatens Satan chained at his feet. Each painting comes with a certificate of origin inside the package, adding value to the purchase. A metal support and a hook on the back make the work versatile, suitable both as a decorative element for the wall and for the table.
