Saint Michael Luca Signorelli diameter 6 cm Bottega Tifernate essential. An elegant round, 6 cm in diameter and part of the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate, it depicts a detail of the painting by Luca Signorelli called ''Saint Michael the Archangel weighing the souls''. Each item in the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate is an exclusive work of art, created and finished by hand by qualified painters with specialized academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created using the patented technique of pictography, created by master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:In his left hand, the angel holds a scale, while in his right he holds a sword, only partially visible. On the scales, arranged at different levels, there are two small naked figures, representing a damned soul and a chosen one. The angel, positioned frontally but with his face in profile, wears a winged helmet and a red-shaded lorica with a green skirt. His wings are variegated with white, yellow and green. The figure stands out against a homogeneous and dark background. The tondo comes with a certificate of origin inside the package, adding value to the purchase. A hook on the back makes the work suitable as a decorative wall element.
