San Giuseppe Guido Reni essential 12x16 cm Bottega Tifernate. This Christian picture belongs to the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate and reproduces the famous painting ''St Joseph'' by Guido Reni. Real dimensions: 17 cm high and 13 cm wide, it is perfect as a high-quality religious gift. Each piece is unique, worked and finished by hand by expert painters with specialized academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created through the patented technique of pictography, created by the master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:In the work, Saint Joseph is depicted with a simple dress, which hints at his humility and his role as guardian. The soft color palette and the use of light accentuate the sacredness of the subject, typical of Reni's Baroque style. Each painting comes with a certificate of origin. A metal support and a hook on the back make the work versatile, suitable both as a decorative element for a wall and for a table. Author of the original work: Guido Reni. Title of the original work: St Michael the Archangel. Date and place of conservation of the original work: ca. 1630-1635, Rome, Church of Santa Maria Immacolata. Year of production of the reproduction: 2024. Technique: Fresco pictography on lime with gold leaf intervention. Product made in Umbria in Città di Castello (Perugia).
