Marriage of the Virgin Perugino dm 6 cm closeup Bottega Tifernate. This elegant 6 cm diameter round is part of the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate and shows the famous central detail of Perugino's altarpiece called ''Marriage of the Virgin''. Each item in the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate is an exclusive work of art, created and finished by hand by qualified painters with academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created through the patented technique of pictography, created by master Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:Around the priest, positioned exactly on the axis of the central building, are the figures of St. Joseph on the left and Mary on the right. The representation of Joseph as an elderly figure further highlights the unlikelihood of a consummated marriage, thus underlining the dogma of Mary's perpetual virginity. The tondo comes with a certificate of origin inside the package, adding value to the purchase. A hook on the back makes the work suitable as a decorative wall element.
