Marriage of the Virgin Giotto dm 6 cm essential Bottega Tifernate. This elegant round, belonging to the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate, depicts a detail of Giotto's fresco called ''Marriage of the Virgin''. It measures 6 cm in diameter and, like every item in the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate, it is an exclusive work of art, created and finished by hand by qualified painters with academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created using the patented technique of pictography, created by maestro Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:The gestures of the figures are measured and deliberate, while the colors are vivid and bright. Mary rests an arm on her belly to indicate her future pregnancy. The three-dimensionality of the figures is reinforced by the play of chiaroscuro and a decisive design, with marked folds in the cloaks that escape any conventional scheme. The tondo comes with a certificate of authenticity. A hook on the back makes the work suitable as a decorative wall element.
