Flight into Egypt Giotto 9x9 cm Bottega Tifernate essential. This elegant painting, part of the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate, represents Giotto's fresco called ''Flight into Egypt''. It measures 9 cm in height and 9 cm in width and, like every item in the Linea Aurea by Bottega Tifernate, it is an exclusive work of art, created and finished by hand by qualified painters with academic training.
The technique:The Aurea line by Bottega Tifernate stands out for its high-quality artistic works created using the patented technique of pictography, created by maestro Stefano Lazzari. This method allows the creation of reproductions that maintain all the aesthetic qualities of an authentic painting. Years of dedicated research and study in the field of painting and restoration have enabled the Città di Castello workshop to faithfully restore the methods and recipes that the Renaissance masters applied in their creations on fresco, panel and canvas. For the frescoes, the same type of lime used by Giotto is used, a pure lime, free of salts and alkalis that could damage the work over time. The technique used is the "fresco" one with gold leaf intervention, which allows the colors to blend perfectly with the lime pigment during drying, thus ensuring a long-lasting and harmonious integration. The pigments used are oxide-based, which ensures that the intensity of the color remains unchanged over time.
The work:The composition of the scene forms a pyramid, outlined by the rocks in the background, scattered with small trees that represent the desolate and arid lands mentioned in the apocryphal Gospels. The color tones are delicate, standing out against the blue of the sky. The figures emerge almost as if sculpted, defined by blocks of color with clear edges. The painting comes with a certificate of origin inside the package, adding value to the purchase. A separate metal support makes the work suitable as a decorative table element.
