The atelier workshop that created this item is the same one that forged the stations in the Holy Land. The Via Dolorosa starts from the Church of the Flagellation, the place where Christ was judged at the time, up to the Basilica of the Holy Sepulcher. The road is about a kilometer long and, at the time, ended outside the walls of Jerusalem as executions were carried out outside the town. After the judgment and the lashes, Christ was loaded with the cross and embarked on his journey, with different encounters and painful vicissitudes, up to the place where he was crucified. Nails were driven into his flesh and after hours under the scorching sun and pain from his wounds, the Savior cried out and took his last breath. With his death the skies darkened and the earth trembled. The cataclysm that was taking place before the eyes of those present raised doubt in the hearts of people who did not believe in Christ, as believers gazed in amazement at the power of their guide. Christ defeated death and saved everyone's souls by sacrificing his life.Part of the proceeds will be donated to safeguarding the artistic heritage of Jerusalem.
