It is obtained from the styrax benzoin plant which is native to the island of Sumatra. It is possible to burn it directly on the charcoal.

Alex F.5/1/2021Eccellente qualità. Pezzi di buone dimensioni. Un 15 % - o forse più- di prodotto polverizzato, ed è questo il motivo per cui do "solo" 4 stelle. È una resina "tecnica", che va dosata e miscelata con sapienza; a mio modesto parere, infatti, esprime il meglio in combinazione ad'altre resine, balsami, bacche, legni profumati, ecc. Non bisogna eccedere nella percentuale di benzoino usata, poiché sprigiona un fumo "pesante", che tende ad'annullare le restanti note dell'armonia essenziale. Una volta compresa, è in grado di favorire l'intuizione di ciò che recede dalle parole: l'incausato al di là dal nome e dalla forma; Essere, Coscienza, Beatitudine.
